Now that Christmas has come to an end, you would think that all the chaos would too. BUT, that is not the case at our house. It seems we still have not had time to sit and do nothing! I will start with the most recent stuff first and see how far back I can remember, so that you can see what we have been doing for the last couple of weeks.
Today is Austin's birthday. It is also his first day back at school after vacation. He is 8!!! I can't believe how fast the time has gone. We had a birthday party for him last Thursday. We took 4 boys to the bowling alley in Red Wing. Then went for pizza after. I didn't realize how roudy 4 8 year olds could be. It was a bit chaotic, but they had fun.
Yesterday (new years day) we went up to mom and dads. We always get together with them and Jael and Adam for some games and food. We spent majority of the day there. The kids kept to themselves in the basement watching movies. The guys watched football, and the rest of us played board games.
Sunday (new years eve) Phil and I went out for dinner and our 3 big kids spent the night at Ed and Paula's. From what I have heard Belle and Carson did the 11:00 count down, and austin stayed up for the 12:00 count down. While they were gone Phil and I stayed up until 1am playing wheel of fortune on the t.v. We werefortunate the next morning nessa slept until 9, so we werent too exhausted from the night before.
Saturday we made a trip to Wal-mart in the pouring rain. We got stuck in a moron's check out line for like 20 minutes. Really They shouldn't hire people that can't run the machines. The lines were backed way down the asiles and there were only 3 cahiers on duty. And to top it off we really didnt find any great deals!
Friday the ALL of our kids went to the aquarium with Mark and Amanda, Karla and Rebecca. I am still hearing about it, sounds like they had a good time. It was nice to have them gone. I think that was the first time ever both Phil and I were home alone with out any kids! Phil spent the day mudding the walls in the basement and I cleaned my room and the kids bedrooms. You cant tell now that I did anything, but it was recently done! Then mid-afternoon Phil and I made a trip to Burnsville. We had some duplicate gifts to return, and some browsing to do. Phil got 4 button up shirts for work for only $5 each! It was nice to be childless for a few hours.
Wednesday and Thursday the kids just enjoyed being home and playing with all of thier new stuff.
We had the Gergen Christmas here on Christmas day. It went really well. Then in the late afternoon we all went out to the Wellman Christmas. That was the final of the 5 Christmas' we had this year.
THe first of the Christmas's was on the 22nd. We had the Jacobson Christmas up at mom and dad's. The house was packed, but it was nice to sit and visit with everyone.
Then the next night we had Christmas with mom and dad. Rol had to get back to moorehead so we had Christmas with him that morning. Then in the evening went and had dinner and presants with mom and dad and reas and grandma.
Sunday we did our own Christmas. We went to church came home and napped and then did presents and had dinner. The kids were able to play for a couple of hours before they had to go to bed, so santa could come.
I finished up my classes on Wednesday the 20th. I managed to get 93% in my media class. 97% in my Personal Wellness class and 98% in Photography. I am waiting to get the letter confirming that I made the Dean's List again, just to make it official.
I think that should update you for the most part. I will post pictures later.
