I'm a slacker!!!

So, it has been awhile again...

And this time it has been so long that I can't remember everything that has happened since the last time that I posted. So, here is what I remember...

I am still taxiing everyone around. Belle is still in dance on Tuesdays...Her big spring show is coming up in May. She is also in Girl Scouts on Thursday nights. She sold cookies in February (I am SO glad that is over!!) Anyway, she sold the most cookies in her troop...Somewhere around 350!!!

Austin finished up basketball and within a week started baseball practice. Then there is the typical running that needs to be done...Dentist, Doctor, groceries, etc.

The kids have really been enjoying the weather that we have had the last couple of weeks. They get home from school and go straight outside; after having a snack of course:) It is also great when it comes to bedtime...They go to sleep much quicker when they have burned off some energy outside. We are definately looking forward to summer and spending all day, everyday outside!

I am still going to school. I was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa last month---I was told it would look good on a resume. I will finally graduate in May with my degree, although I will not be done with school at that point. (I love school!) I am signed up for a summer class that starts 2 days after graduation...My kids and husband are less than thrilled.

I am not sure if I told you that we got a new van at the beginning of winter...Our other one was a '99 and stalled on me one day on my way to school. Thankfully my dad came to my rescue! Anyway, we didn't want to take any chances so we got a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan. We have definately had more than our share of problems with this new vehical, but I think we finally have everything fixed up and should be good for awhile!

Then of course, a couple of weeks ago Phil's car started acting up. Well, not so much acting up--The doors just got a mind of their own. First the drivers door would randomly fly open when we were driving, then they decided not to open at all. The back doors also only opened when they wanted to. So, we went and bought a new car...Got a 2010 Chevy Cobalt. We got a really good deal on it and it is sooooo much nicer to drive than Phil's 2000 Focus was. Thanks to me I was able to get us $550 more than my husband had thought...We got more than he had it listed for!!!

Last Sunday our Pastor called. He said, "Did you see what Belle was writing during church?" I said, "No." He said that she came up to him and a few other church members who were standing around talking and read him something. I thought "Oh, no what did she write?" It wasn't bad. She had written down some insite on to a paper. Our pastor called to see if she would be willing to read it the next Sunday (yesterday) during church. She was so excited...She got up there and read it very well. He said that most adults are unable to understand what she was able to write down...And she is only 8! We are very proud of her! This is what she wrote...(In her spelling-if you need clarification let me know:))

"God is the fother of Jesus. You akshilly need to belev in God not just saie O I will belev in God than I will go to heven. NO! You akshilly need to belev in God with all your hart than you will go to heven with God. I love him with all my hart!

Sweet isn't she!

Also, this weekend is in the Good Friday play at church. Phil is in it...He is going to be Philip. It should be entertaining. Feel free to come and check it out...Riverwood Church at 7 on the 2nd.

This picture I posted awhile back...I had to take it for one of my classes...I am going to enter it into a competition...Wish me luck!

Carson was in the paper again!!! He and the neighbor boys build a "snow truck" in their backyard...Very creative!

Austin has been in band since the beginning of the year...We often hear very interesting noises come from the basement...Noises I didn't know a trumpet could make! Anyway a couple of weeks ago was his first concert...Notice the determined/concentrated look on his face:)

Last week the AWF came to town and put on a show...It will air on KSTP 45 on April 3rd. It was a good time. Austin was out of town and missed it and we ditched Nessa. Belle and Carson got into it...They were cheering and booing right along with everyone else!
