The weekend before the Fourth we went camping with a bunch of friends of ours. We had a great time other than Nessa not wanting to go to sleep. She was up until 1:30 in the morning! Then we got woke up at 7 from all the other noise in the camp grounds. The Saturday we were there was rainy in the afternoon so we went and toured the brewery. It was fun, the kids got to sample the root beer, and the adults got the beer. It finally stopped raining around 8 that night, the kids were up for a while after that. I took Ness on a walk around the campground trying to get her to go to sleep, while we were walking I saw my brother. How odd is that? We were both camping in the same place, but niether of us knew the other was there. We were camping out at Flandrau State Park. It was in New Ulm, so it wasn't like we were close to home.

Phil had to carry Austin on one of our morning hikes, his leg is still sore.
Over the Fourth the fair was in town. I was working everyday, my name was plastered all over the paper! There was always something that needed to get shot. I made many trips back and forth, my paycheck should reflect this!
We took the kids down one day for the pedal tractor pull...No one got a trophy this year, but they still had fun. Ness even tried! She was thrilled as can be, because she got a can of pop for trying.

Then that afternoon was kids day. We took the kids down and got them each a wrist band. We were on rides for 4 hours! I am getting to old for the spinning rides! I can't do them like I used to. Austin got sick too. He actually threw up many times (I think it was 4), but he didn't want to stop riding.
Fire works in Apple Valley. We went and watched them with Jael and Adam again. We were unable to do our picnic this year because I had to work right up until time to go to the park, but it was a good time none the less!
Carson with all of his political stickers!
And that night we took the kids to the derby. I had to shoot that as well, so I left Phil with the kids and Mom and Dad. I got to sit up in the announcer's stand. Front row seat! Best part was it was free! I had that seat for the combine derby, harness races, bull riding, and tractor pull. I got some really great shots from there! I can't wait for next year. Then this past week, we spent up at camp with the church. It was the first year that it was mostly relaxing. I wasn't chasing around a baby the whole time! The speaker this year was amazing. One of the best that they have had up there in a long time. Nessa had a hard time sleeping there too, but it wasn't as late as when we were camping. It was about 10:30 when she would finally pass out.
Catching fish...
Ringing the bell, one of the best parts of camp!
Waiting for supper!
Nessa petting the fish that the other kids caught!
Carson's first time out on the kyack himself!
Phil in the kyack, notice his tongue...How old are we?
Now we are finally home and trying to settle back in to a structured routine. Hopefully we can gain some order in the house once again! I will try to post again soon!
