Camp

We spent the 8th through the 13th of July at church camp. It was nice to get away and have a break from everyday life. However, we actually came home more tired than when we left. The kids spent the week swimming, playing baseball, dodge ball, and many other things. They also went fishing and each one of them was able to catch a fish! It was hard for us all to sleep in one room. When one of the kids woke up, they all woke up. That made for some very tired kids by the end of the week...Only Nessa slept on the ride home and she only slept for an hour! Enjoy the pictures!
We have also been working on things around the house. This past weekend we spent the entire time landscaping around the house. Things have temporarily been put on hold, we borrowed Ed's truck last weekend to pick some things up at Menards and on the way back home the clutch went out. We still need dirt and sand, so until we can find a truck to haul it in we are stuck! I am still cleaning up the rocks around the house while we wait, so that it will be ready when we can get the dirt.
This past week has been insanely hot. I took the kids to the Red Wing pool on Tuesday, when we got there my power steering went out. There was a huge puddle under the van. There was enough fluid left to get me back to town, but that was the end. Phil and Dad took it up to the school and were able to fix it, but I was without a car for all day yesterday. But a friend of mine came to town with her little boy and we hung out in the back yard. The kids all played in the pool and on the slip and slide. It helped to have something to cool them off and keep them busy.
This week and next week the kids have swimming lessons every morning for an hour. It is nice to have something in the mornings that wears them out. I will post pictures of that later they are still on my camera.
Tomorrow Karla is going to take the 3 older kids to the zoo for the afternoon. Nessa and I are going to spend some time shopping and then maybe if she will nap I can do some cleaning around the house. I start school in just a couple of weeks and have yet to deep clean my house. It would be nice if there would be a couple of rainy days, so we could be trapped in the house and then I could clean without feeling guilty.
Anyway I better go, naps are almost done and I have accomplished nothing!
