So Easter has come and gone. I am quickly approaching the end of the semester. It is finally warming up outside. You could say life is good.
The day before Easter we went to a play at the Assembly of God church in Red Wing. It was different perspectives of the cross. THere were no words, but it was done to music. After the play the pastor gave a brief sermon, it was really good. After attending that and talking to a friend that has been to that church many times, we decided that we should try it out. We went this past Sunday and really liked it. It was definately more up beat than our church. The sermon was easy to understand and had quite a bit of humor built into it. They had a nursery, so we sent Nessa in there and she was good for about half of the service, then I had to go and get her again. She enjoyed clapping along with the songs. The other kids stayed with mom and went to our church, the next time that we go to Red Wing they want to come with us.
We have been hard at work painting Nessa's room. It seems like this project is taking about as long as it took to build Austins room. Who would think that putting a few layers of paint on the wall would be so time consuming? The Cupboard doors are now all that is left. They only need 1-2 more coats. Hopefully by the weekend I will once again have an adult only bedroom!!!
Since it has been so nice out lately. The kids are enjoying being able to go outside. I am enjoying how worn out they are getting! I am quickly realizing this summer is not going to be one that I can sit around and relax though. Nessa is on the run!!! She knows where she wants to go and what she wants to do, leaving me to chase her and keep her out of trouble. WE have been to the park a few times already. Let me just say...PARKS SUCK FOR BABIES!!! There are way too many holes in the equipment that she could fall through. Firemans poles, ladders, and many more that I think are just there for fun. I have to follow her up and down and around. Now honestly, I think I out grew the park stage years ago. Who designed this equipment? Obviously someone without kids or at least little ones. Last year I was able to have Ness in the stroller and she would play or eat, whichever made her happy. And I was able to visit with the other moms. This year, I get to play with the kids. I just hope she learns to balance a little better very soon so that I can once again, sit and watch!
Better go, the kids are suppose to clean their room...Not going to well!
