OOOPS!!!

Yesterday afternoon Phil's sister (Rebecca) got in an accident and rolled her car. Thankfully no one was hurt...Life lesson...SEAT BELTS SAVE LIVES!!!

So this makes me think...What are we going to do when our kids get their licenses? They will be able to drive to work and school and of course some errands for their mother, but will not be allowed to have any passengers. How bad would it suck to have to call another parent and say, "sorry, but my kid killed yours." My kids will also have to purchase their own car. If they have to pay for it, they will treat it better and be more careful knowing that if they break it they have to buy another one with their own money. And if they were to break it, they definately would not be getting another car any time soon. They also would not be allowed to drive alone for a significant amount of time, like once they were able to prove to me that they are going to be more responsible. I also may or maynot pay for their insurance. If an accident occured they would be responsible for the insurance from that point on, since the rates are going to go up. Maybe that will be an incentive, if they have a good GPA and are responsible they won't have to pay for it. This will hopefully make them more responsible while they are driving. Moral...maybe parents need to be more proactive in their childrens lives. Regaurdless of what you think you know, there is even more that you are unaware of.
