I am looking forward to settling back into a routine, but not waking up at the crack of dawn:) We have all developed a habit of sleeping till 8 or 9.
We are also looking forward to a weekend camping trip with our small Bible study group. It will definitely be interesting with a total of 13 kids. Most of which are Nessa's age or younger. Hopefully they will all sleep well!
Below are some pictures of our last camping trip (in July) we went to Whitewater state park...That camping trip was much less eventful than the one we took in June. It was great...They had tons of activities for the kids/family to do. We went on an owl howl hunt, made bracelets out of some weeds, watched an eagle show, and went fishing. My husband also thought that it would be a good idea to take a hike...Well, it was up hill---WAY up hill. The temps were in the low to mid 90's and it lasted longer than any of us had originally thought. We were exhausted when we finally made it back to our site.
Fishing!
Nessa has found foam rollers...We have curled her hair several times now...She looks like a little Shirley Temple!
Austin's baseball team got 1st place at the last tournament for the year! The boys were so happy!
National Night Out. Every year it is a nationally organized night where neighbors get together and get to know one another. The rescue/police/firemen make an appearance at each party in town.
The kids got to check out the squad car...They were even able to run the lights and sirens.
They got to try on the fireman's uniforms.
All of the rescue team was able to sit and talk with people at each of the parties...This picture as well as the one of Belle above were both in the paper last week!
This is just a snap shot from one of Belle's soccer games...She was pretty proud when she was the only one on the team to score a goal!
