So, the last weekend in June we always go camping with a bunch of friends from town. The first year we went it was cold and rainy the whole time, other times that we have gone it has been SO hot that we end up going to see a movie to cool down. This year was no exception for crazy weather. On Friday and Saturday night we had to sit through Thunderstorm warnings! Friday night was just a GIANT rain (3 1/2 inches in about an hour) There was also very LARGE hail...Phil had worked in Sleepy Eye on Friday and met us at the campground after he got off work, so we had both vehicals there...Yep, both got hail dents in them...Not terribly noticable thankfully:)
Saturday night there was major wind with the storm. This storm lasted longer than the one the night before and caused significantly more damage! Here are the photos that I got on Sunday morning.
This was the camper one site over from ours...The tree branch that is on their camper poked all the way through...They ended up staying the night at a hotel.
An hour after they moved their camper the branch fell...No one was near it thankfully!
If you look closely at the picture there is a large branch hanging upside down off the tree. That branch was directly over the tent of one of the guys in the group!!!He didn't see it until he got up on Sunday morning.
This tree completely covered the trail that led to the pool...we had to find an alternative route!
This was a HUGE tree just outside of the campground...Totally uprooted from the storm.
Sunday at the beach...You would have NEVER guessed a major storm had blown through less than 12 hours before!
She is our "special" child:) Such a goof!
Our summer seems to have consisted of nothing but baseball. Austin plays at least 3 times a week and practices a couple days a week too. Carson also has ball, but only one night a week
Oh, and Belle plays soccer once a week too. I almost can't wait for school to start so things will slow down:)
